Smutty Weekend

After a successful session last weekend on the hounds Bruce and his son Dylan wanted to get in on some more smoothy action.  They had two venues in mind, one in North Wales and the other was to be the Rock Channel.  There was a lot to live up to after the fantastic session they’d had. Start Your Engines

Richie had been building his stocks of peeler ready for the start of the smoothhound run.  With a WSW breeze and overcast skies conditions looked perfect and so he and IanK made the long walk along the Rock Channel sandbank for the first time this year.  Crab baits were launched seawards and it was game on for the new season! Bang! It only took 30 seconds for Richie and he was into one.  Read the full report here.

Adam had his first session of the year on the Rock Channel targeting hounds. As he waited to cross the channel Joe and Brian also turned up and before long they were making their way out along the bank. The first couple of casts produced just a couple of small whiting, however the next bite definitely wasn’t a whiting. Was it a smoothie? Read the full report to find out.
