I'll have the SK3 14' with me on Sunday at the match if anyone wants a ganders. Had it since they were launched and love it.

ok guys this is getting mad .ive been after the sonik 14ft but still unable to get one all stockist are out of stock .yet gerrys are still advertising them
as available in this months sea angler .till you go on there web site and you get the out of stock message

same story on most stockists.so contacted sonik to order one of them.after 3 emails and 9 days later no reply

so i just used the checkout and orderd.availability is ok but delivery could be january

iether some one has bought a million sonik sk14 or sonik are not interested in keeping suppliers stocked
yet there launch of the sk4 series is available but at a higher cost . have sonik under estimated sales or was it a over estimated sales pitch .who has these sk3 14ft rods

were have they gone

will i get one befor
christmas

i have no idea

Sonik appears to be a one man band,a former Greys employee,who decided to do his own thing and market a range of rods that,due mainly to his excellent marketing skills,were extensively promoted by Sea Angler magazine.
The rods were originally to be sold direct from the importer but some shops were approached too.
The original stock is sold out now although a few may be available in shops that took them but you will be waiting until the next shipment arrives from China before any more will be available.
I got this information from a trade rep recently and I think Chris will confirm that his appointment to view some Sonic rods was cancelled because they had none to show him.

indeed Mr pacman, Sonik do not have any rods in the country, when i last spoke to them they where being put in a container and shipped out of china, i was told that they expected them in approx 6 weeks but it has gone well over that date now. The problem they are risking is that all the positive press that they have will turn to negative press and they will miss the window of oppertunity to get sales.

Either that or the price has gone up so much because of world events they are waiting/hoping for things to settle down.

the sk4 series container must of arrived

but for how long

it still beats me they can take orders on there web site but can not deliver for some time .yet they can not reply to emails. they only have one northwest main supplier who still advertises they have them but they dont. but then again there ad could of been place in advance.i dont like going outa town or surfing the internet to get my fishing gear .i like to jump in me car and go to the tackle shop see the product buy it . rods leads to reels reels leads to line line leads to tackle see what i mean the tackle shop is the backbone of our angling community . by not supplying our local tackle shops or unable to through unavailability the unimpatient angler will turn to the net as they have no option

that is one of the biggest problems Jags, how many people will buy without seeing the rods, and if emails cant be answered then lets hope they are better dealing with any returns....

Good point re customer service - how the hell are returns and repairs going to be handled?

One thing about the more costly british rods, well century and zziplex - if it goes wrong it can all be dealt with in this country.

Oh well, have to wait and see, bit early to damn them just yet.

I have bought the sonik bass and an SK3 13ft, i have only used them a couple of times but i think they are great for the money, i'm not a very good caster but i can do 100 yds plus with the SK3 which helped me catch whiting that were further out.. i'm thinking of getting another 13ft to match, the bass rod is really good too, very flexible and casts very well too, can't wait to get a bass on it, that will be the real test...
