It really is a true antique - and fetches a good price on the open market - 1963 prices = 3s 6d -- and worth every penny of that

To be honest it's still one of my favourite rods to use. It's got a still action with a slightly forgiving top. ideal for flatty bashing, or plugging for bass.

I tried that, ended up with a new hip & need another, think I will stick to fishing it doesnt make me sweat as much.

An attractive and highly valued metal, gold has been known for at least 5500 years.
