NORTH WALES VENUE (LOCAL)

Any ideas for a shortest distance North Wales venue? I'm looking to get out sometime over the next few nights for something in addition to flatties. I thought of the Fylde coast at high water, then wondered about a short travel venue in North Wales.

Any suggestions ? Anyone been recently...what's being caught on what? If all fails I may try the 5 bar gate area of Fleetwood.............or even look at a low water venue?

Is Perch Rock fishable at high water............if where abouts?

Perch Rock is low water only because the bank you fish from is covered. Too far to cast to the channel at high.

Harrison drive, Vale Park, or Seacombe town hall over high, or further round at Caldy. if you doing an evening session maybe Barkby beach or Prestatyn

Cheers Simon, I had been reading another post which made it sound like someone was fishing Perch rock at high. Read it a few times but couldn't work it out.Just been looking at the Prestatyn coast on google. Never fished it before, but it looks nice! Not sure about the wind tonight though

Pretty much decided on Prestatyn for tonight, unless anyone has a better idea. The idea being that it is close for a mate who is joining me, it's a new venue for me and all round ease of access, travel etc. Anyone give any more advice as to a particular mark. Anything to do or avoid? Thanks chaps.

Have`nt fished at Prestatyn itself as the groynes look to be toooo close together cutting out the flow....Fffrith beach is only 2 mins down the road and fishes well for bass as long as there`s a bit of a surf running....only had one session there on a calm day (forecast was wrong again) but it looks very good with some nice gullies......this is off WORMY

As you say Kev. The beach is only a mile or so long, so I will get there before dark and make a decision...................we will know by this time tomorrow!
