you cant fish the steel bridge part walk past the little cottage (toll man) till you come to the wooden side there is a sign just on the change of this fish here.( go to the middle of the bridge and its too shallow) use crab/worm baits and cast straight out from here or just drop down fish from low to high night time is best but day time will catch but to many holiday makers . oh and watch how you cast that you dont hook a train ( best take a drop net to)

I came back from Barmouth yesterday.I wasn't allowed to do any fishing though As above plus anywhere from the mouth of the harbour to a couple of miles along the beach. It is mainly sand with just a few stones near the old sewer outlet. Not sure which tide is best, but there is very little water under the bridge at low (and lots of tourists)

Only got round to fishing the [b[bridge[/b]...set up immediately at the end of the iron bridge and just lob your bait back under the bridge where there is a good channel....big crab baits work well for better fish though lug will still do the business....prob fish around 2 1/2 hours before high water...if you can`t get at that spot i would`nt bother as it`s pretty shallow and haunted by dogs elsewhere.....there is a sandy peninsula to the left of the harbour where we saw anglers fishing,picking the bass off as the run up the channel,but i did not have time to check out the safety aspects so would not know how long or on what tides you are best to fish from there.

well in for the info lads got loads of schoolies, about 10 ,I lost count, around the half pound mark but couldn't get anything bigger

well done neil .next time walk across the bridge and turn right towards the sandbar/beach at low worth ago there on the flood i said at low so you can see were you need to fish it best bait for the bigger ones is softies

yes, fished from low to just after high most fish from 2 1/2 hours up to high

just bait, I couldn't fit the plugging rod in and saw loads of mullet in the harbour but no rod to try for them
