Had a few peelers left so decided to have a ramble out at Harrison Drive to fish low water.It`s a fair old walk,and you have to cross a very wide gulley to get there

If you like peace n quiet then this is the mark to fish plus you`re into very deep water at close range

It was action all the way,with a fish a chuck (only using a single hook rig with a big crab bait)...thought i`d snared a schoolie,but it turned out to be a small codling


Plenty of quality plaice showing as well

Finished the session off with another codlet

When I was down there last weekend I parked up by the Leasowe end of Harrison Drive and looked out to see a single big channel which ended at the T-shaped breakwater. Is this the one you had to cross?

It was three hours before low (8.2-2.3m tide) and the bank on the other side was only just beginning to show, so after a short wait to see what would happen I went to fish the first water I got to. It didn't look like the channel ebbed enough to safely get out onto the bank from the T-groyne area (at least when it was light enough to see it), but I never tested the depth of it so what do I know?

If you park where you did,you walk out from the end of the breakwater,and head in the 11o`clock direction,crossing the big gulley....if you have chest waders you can get out a bit earlier....normal waders and you`re looking at 2 1/2 hours before low and you`ll just make it it`s a bit creepy doing it at night don`t stay any longer than 1/2 hour after low or you`ll get cut off

Hi all

Hey seems like Harrison drive is doing well at the moment. Get in!!!

Ok without sounding too much like a numpty! Does this venue fish well at High tide from the wall?? or is all the decent action at low tide where a bit of a trecky is in order??

This Gulley thats been mentioned, would you suggest wadders to get across it?? How deep is the water we are talking about??

Harrison Drive is not worth thinking about at high water.....you don`t have to do the long walk to the channel if you don`t want...there`s plaice coming out by the post at the clown roundabout...if you do the long walk,you are better off with chest waders,as you can obviously get out there sooner....from 2 1/2 hours before low,it`s prob gunna be around waist high....the further you walk to the right to cross the gulley,the shallower it is......to be honest,you`re better off not going alone,or if you don`t know the mark.....stick to the clown
