I decided to take a trip to Canungra creek as from local reports it has shown potential. Apparently it fishes best in summer, but whilst I was in the area I thought il cast a line and see. I met up with Wardy at Rymera Road. You go through the gate and take a left onto open field. With the morning due and there being a few hills we decided to take the Kawasaki Mule and arrived at the venue with no issue
Drive 200-250 yards until you reach a clearing in the creek. There is a nice flat spot there, where you can set a couple of chairs up. We only had bread as bait but luckily I found a garden worm whilst working the day before.5 degrees at the creek so had to wrap up. Wardy went straight on the bread and I thought I would give the worm a try.
The bread turned out to be no good but the worm came in good use. First cast and I was in!! It gave a good fight. I caught an 'eel tailed catfish' a new one for the species list
