So Round 4 saw us back at Talacre by popular demand given the quality of fishing on offer as well as the varied species and it didnt disappoint with good numbers of fish for the majority of anglers as well as specimen fish of differing species hitting the beach.
The walk out saw two distinct groupings form with some lads making the long walk down to the usual favoured mark on the point in front of the buoy whilst others opted to go straight out to the posts in front of the lighthouse.
Sometimes, its best to stick to tried and trusted methods and knowledge and this proved to be the case on the day with the lads who made the long walk to the normal 'hotspot' seeing the much better of the action, both in terms of numbers and quality of fish.
The Hounds were mostly to be found down on the point including this nice fish for Roy Schofield......................

Gary Swift took a cracking Plaice of 42cm however we didnt manage to get a picture and Ste Atkinson was also building a good mixed bag of fish including a 30cm Sole......................

The Hounds were there for those with crab and Mark Davies took this nice fish towards low water..................

John Rodgers was the man on top form on the day with 4 Hounds, 2 Rays and other mixed species to set a total that could not be matched and take the win on the day from Gary Swift in 2nd and Ste Atkinson in 3rd, with all 3 places going to the lads who made the long walk.
