Target was Hound after I had one on my last session plus anything else that swims

Target was Mullet this time but didn’t hold much hope
Second cast and I was in but lost it after 3 good runs

Met Jimmy H and his son Jay


Target for me was Mullet again this time full of enthusiasm
Jimmy had a nice Ray at 3lbs on the nose




4hrs into the session I finally hooked into a cracker. After a brilliant scrap we lost it at the net (need a bigger net!)

The tide was flooding in and time was running out plus me wingman had gone home to slam in the lamb.
Managed to hook up to another but smaller this time

Weighed in at 2lbs 6oz and was 46cm

Well done some decent fish and a good variety and size nice mullet i caught the eels twin in the canal a couple of weeks ago first one for ages fished llandudno pier on tuesday nothing caught guy leaving had blanked but caught 2 small polllock the day before tried feathers and baits but no joy still nice day had platform to myself was it worth £10 to fish still i was on holiday ! cheers mick ps Had a look in a shop in Rhyl called Second Chance lots of new and used tackle rods to rigs and hooks helpful owner? Worth a look if your in the area.

Very well done on the mullet, I’ve fished there a few times this year and haven’t even seen them never mind caught em - must stick some light gear in the car for my next mud fest!
Good luck getting the mud camouflage off your clothes, that bit by the tanks is brutal!

Had another bash after the Mostyn Mullet on Friday fishing the opposite state of the tide and a slightly different section.
Not sausage and only seen the one Mullet swirle
Guess I'll revert back to my original tactics and start hatching my next cunning plan
