Prestatyn 20th July. evening low.

Back on my home turf.Nice westerly breeze and a good sea .2 hrs down 21/2 up.Fresh lug and prawns. First 3 hrs not a touch baits coming back untouched.Then a couple of good size flounder in the next hour.Then on my last cast landed this piglet of 56 cm.Image

That's a beauty, fat too - 4lb+?

Good effort sticking it out - I'm guilty of quitting at slack water on low sessions if I get nothing on the ebb - goes to show...

THX Andy,
Prestatyn usually fishes well on the flood,as soon as the tide turns,it’s worth fishing all the way back in ,as long as you can put a bait beyond the end of the rock groynes.The bass seem reluctant to come in between the groynes.It may be because of the seals who seem to patrol around the ends of groynes.

Thx Dyl,I had nothing on the prawn,the bass came on a 2 hook trace with double lug on each hook to use up the last of my bait.
