Everyone started to arrive from 12 o,clock and after a chat and catch up in the car park everyone was booked on by 12.45 .
15 anglers turned out for this one and we all set off down the beach we decided on the day that you could make the long or short walk as long as there was someone next to you to sign your card .
Some of the anglers headed to the far right and by the time we reached are chosen spots there were 3 or 4 groups spaced out over a very long stretch with a few pleasure anglers dotted in between each group. 2 o,clock soon came and all in was called and relayed down the beach.
There were fish caught from the off with John Walsh having a dab on his first cast followed soon after with a dogfish then looking to my right i saw people putting fish back in the water then to my left I saw Dave Roberts had his first hound so things were looking good then I had my first hound of the day .
A selection of baits were being used with varying results ,The wind picked up a little bit more than predicted at times but with it being on our backs and the sun was shining it was still comfortable fishing as the rain stayed away for the duration and the wind dropped off a little .I fished next to Richie Fisher ,Mike Bishton and John Walsh with Dave and Jordan to my far left with an hour and a half to go and reports of some good numbers from further down the beach and i had had a few hounds as well I decide to go for a walk up to dave roberts to see how they were getting on at that end while chatting about what they had caught and what baits were working best we heard richie fisher shouting me that was rod was bouncing I was that far away i couldnt see it so I legged it [slowly] back to my rod just as i got there Richie grabbed the rod and passed it to me saying its on so i pulled in to it but didnt very heavy it was either swimming towards me or i had lost it after reeling half way in i knew it was off then I looked to my left and noticed that Richie and John were stood chatting with there backs to me at which point I realized that had been pranked my the pair of them
"pm soon came and all in was called and we all made the walk back to the car park.
