Humber Thursday

Post by Fishamaniac »

Hi all,
The cod doesn't seem to have moved in to the Mersey in numbers yet. So I'm thinking of heading east on Thursday. I've got a couple of days off so might try something new, it'll help me make my mind up about what to do at the weekend.
The mark I have in mind is on the south side, not stallingborough wall, somewhere different. Fishing will be from the shore not a prom/wall.
The mark has produced plenty of cod, some good size ones too.
If anyone fancies it let me know. I'm about halfway between where most of you are and the destination. I'm sure we could sort something out to keep fuel costs down if anyone wants to give it a go.
Dayne.
It's always better to be lucky than good!!! :-D

I `ve got a soft spot for North Withernsea,it`s a crackin beach....only had 3lbers from there so far,but a local fished by me n Lee last year and said he`d be disappointed if he did`nt have at least 3 double figure cod from there each winter. Best is only 5.5lb from Dimmo when i fished with Adam Roper, but i just love fishing those proper beaches. Biggest regret was not going a day earlier to Easington a few years back...i`d posted i was going on the Sat night, and on the Fri night it fished it`s balls off with loads of 5lb to 8lb cod coming out along with 3x 7lb bass...met a few lads who`d been there on the Fri and said it just went mental on the ebb...sod`s law they`d moved off by the Sat with just a few small codling landed....it`s the chance of being on the right beach at the right time which gives me the buzz...one day
