Plaice fishing

Me and our Graham had a session at New Brighton for the Plaice .

Condition's where good except the tide was small this resulted in the plaice coming on the feed very late in the tide ? So we never got long fishing as the sandbank was covered not long after the fish started feeding.

But we did manage a few each ? here are the pictures.








Very short session but very enjoyable and good to get the first Plaice of the new year.

Bit of a WARNING to other anglers that have fished this venue in the past ??? As I have had a a lot of phone calls since posting this and video.

Me and Stan fished it last Friday and I was explaing to stan about the 2 gullies that cut the sandbank off that you fish from THIS HAS CHANGED AGAIN.

The gully that comes in from the top left of the bank is still pretty much the same but now the sandbank has a middle section that joins up with this gully flooding the sandbank very quick .

but the Dangerous one is the gully that comes behind you from the far bottom right that's past the Y groyne Infront of the white coast guard station
This gets very deep and floods very fast if you venture to far down the sandbank towards the Y groyne As this gully is not visible. you will see dog walkers crossing it when dry and all you can see is their heads due to its depth.

SO PLEASE TAKE CARE .

If you are unsure then fish 2.5 hours after low in the middle section of Harrison Drive Between the Y groyne and the T groyne
At this part of the beach you are able to just fish the tide back .

Great photos, well done on a great session and thanks for the update on the gullies, I live 30 miles away and don't get down very often so it's really helpful to know when things have changed
