]Hi lads, I had a session at the ship end at mostyn yesterday. I got st up and ready to fish at 5.30pm which was still a bit early ( low water was 4.30pm).rigs were a Wishbone rig with size 2 hooks with crab legs for bait and a pulley dropper rig with a size 3/0 hook and squid /makeral wrap on a dongle. First few casts , the crabs were having it big time plus it was really weedy, after the first hour and about 5 rebaites later I had the fist bite on the plaice rig which resulted in a nice undersize plaice , I unhooked it and returned the fish and while I was doing that ,the ray rod was nodding violentlyand after a short fight a nice thornback of 8lb 10oz was landed . It was nice being out in the fresh air , it does wonders for my mental health because I suffer from stress and anxiety and being there last night lifted it all off me.At high water I packed up having caught one more thornback and 3 more plaice... I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back, might try the other end for conger next time.

Nice ray. You’re right about the therapeutic powers of fishing. They are prescribing it on the NHS these days There’s an organisation called Tackling Minds that provides the fishing activity according to a podcast I heard recently.

Nice session Paul , I love the fact once all the gears in the car you can switch off from everyday life for a while and zone in on the fishing
