Alt friday

Just chilled yesterday had a session Alt (bit early for the big boys and girls)
Tool's for yesterday's mission
Carp rod and reel
bait frozen black fresh blow pumped at hall road
rigs 2 hook flapper size 2 hooks 2/3oz weights
Got there just on high bait straight in with in minutes typical crab bites
Brought in every 10 minutes striped
Was tempted to get off remembered I had 1rig with pop ups so changed rigs to the pop up rig just on 2 hrs after hw proper bite a 33cm Flounder on the bank safely returned another rattle but somehow missed it baited back up a serious bite if you've ever fished the Alt you know what I mean a cracker of a scrap on the carp rod kept down a lovely conditioned 40cm was on the bank released to live another day 1 more bite missed so it was just on 3 hrs after hw decided to abandon ship

Jimmy big like from me for the light approach of your fishing session .
Big like for sticking with it and adapting when things were no working .
And a big like for taking the time to post your fishing session.

Never fish over that side or proms / But fully understand why you like the Alt and flounder fishing .
Very similar to the Hoyle bank flounder fishing and the New Brighton Plaice fishing it's amazing the pleasure and sport that flat fish can give if you use the right type of gear for the area your fishing . Well I enjoy that type of fishing anyway .

I like the winter for the Big dabs at New Brighton they look like Plaice at first sight with nice orange and yellow spots and on either the lure rod or my 10ft uptide rod it's very easy and pleasing fishing for an hour or two .

Well done Jim good result, better than what I got at Dinas dinlle Friday weed was a nightmare weather was better on Merseyside than llyn never mind that’s fishing.
