Lingmere Fishery 2006-04-22 - disappointed...

Post by feederman »

Sandy and me arrived Lingmere at 10:15, an hr late as planned.( I think you know the reason...) Weather was very good as expected, sun intervals but not too bright, warm and a bit of wind.

Well we caught quite steadily first 3 hrs while people struggled  , I managed 5 tenchs to 4lbs, some skimmers to 2lb a few carps and some rudd/roach.

Sandy caught her some skimmers and a few carps and I was more happy than her! 8)

Sandy asked if I wanna take picture with my fish, I said :" too small, we'll catch lots more fish and hopefull something bigger..."
Then I only got that pic becoz the fishing after that was like shiit.

at around 2pm the whole lake switched off! :? :(
I tried differet tactics and failed to get even a LINER and I rarely saw any fish was landed by other anglers.

4:30pm some skimmers rudd/roach and tiny carps came back and nothing decent and we left there at 5:30pm!

I got no idea why the fishing was so bad in such weather, all people struggled to catch fish.

Exactly. I just expected too much as the sport at Lingmere was quite well even in bad condition.

that's fishing...

I got my best session in hurricane, but got the worse session in perfect condition.

That's fishing, you think the condition is good? sorry the fish has no mood.

Ok Shacky. You see there's the white light house at Moreton behind that handsome angler.

Pass it then turn left then you'll see a NO ENTRY sign. Get in and follow the road and you'll get to the Lingmere Fishery.
