keving ... I wonder ..... you never said what you want to stop sliding about !!!
If it's lead wieghts / paternosters / snoods etc. then nylon / gum won't do too good, and plastic 'bits'/ crimps are the answer.
If it's to stop bait sliding / floats etc, then silicon tube and mono/gum is great.
Do tell us what you want to stop moving ......

sorry just lookin at big kevs portsmouth rig.

he uses them to alter the snoods on the clip down

if you dont get it quite right mi is thinkin

I am a beginner, see other posts, but it seems to me that power gum is a no brainer. Stop knots are dead long live power gum!
Especially if like me you have, choad, fingers! ha ha
