It might be 'near' but a totally different beach.

The Ordinance Survey Shows Llanfairfechan to be Mud and Sand (grey), while Penmaenmawr is shown as Sand (sandy coloured).

There was no mud where i was digging which was by the carpark. No worms where the mud is

There will be mud under the sand. That why it not dry out like other beach.

It a totally different beach. Not only geographically which you cannot dispute, but geophysically hence why it a different colour on Ordenance survey.

It may just be shingle. I only noticed a small patch of mud.
