the light levels in the mersey at 6ft depth are apparently equal to 150ft in clear water

Could it not be the case that fish feed better at night regardless of having a starlight on your line

to be fair nothing was coming in at the time we tried them in day light to either rig with or without starlight can't catch whats not there

the night session the starlite rig seemed to be catching better but who knows if this made the difference.............

dave used on on the boat trip last time and had codling..........he never catches them usually

its just another option to try bit like changing the colour of the beeds on rigs
