Lead lifts are a big help at Perch Rock. Quite often people get snagged halfway in as they drag their tackle across the bottom, which has a lot of sand and mudbanks. With a lead lift, in that current, your gear is at the surface almost as soon as you start to retrieve.
(If you think it's snaggy at Perch Rock you should try some of the marks futher up like Priory Wharf!!)
