It`s a blue moon tonight and the weather looks bang on for the rays with the breeze behind us,and it should put a bit of a chop on the drive for the bass...hopefully those who have`nt had a ray will break their ducks in the morning.

Me and my lad fished Perch on this evenings low, quite a few others out too but didn't see anything decent come out. We had sandeel and squid wraps on pulley pennels without a touch and for the last half hour put a couple of 3 hook flappers out with fresh blow to grab a dozen whiting and flatties to stop a blank Good luck tomorrow

I made it for the later session and blanked . Good to meet up though and enjoyed the company and the fishing . Look forward to fishing with you all again soon.

I`ll add some pics tomorrow....6 rays came out,1 for me,Jay and Scott while Mick was top banana with 3...we all had a couple of whiting too.

Rays were the main target for those early birds who met up at Perch Rock for 4.30am...myself,Riffer,Mike B,Gazz,Bluecat,Scott,Mary and Bucky made our way out to the area opposite the bouy...it was quiet as expected until 90 mins before low when i got the ball rolling...

It was`nt long until Jay got his first ever ray,which was a great result...

Then his mate Woody got in on the action....

Mick has been on form lately and took another 3 today...


A few whiting showed,with Riffer managing a double with a crab on a pennel

No double figure bass today Martin...

At 8am we moved to the T-groyne and pumped a load of blow,though we need`nt have bothered as our intended stretch of Harrison Drive was taken up by other anglers,so the only option was to fish to the right of the groyne which was dead...a couple of hours in the sun looking at motionless rods,but the craic was good.....nice to meet up again and get a few fish...til the next time
