For the money this is an excellent rod. Very well built and solid.
Bite detection is not good for small fish (ie pin whiting or small dabs) but the tip doesnt move much in windy and rough condtitions.
A very strong rod you could happily use on rough ground.
Throws out 7 oz and big bait using an overhead thump with no problems. (it's rated to cast 175yards with pendulum). 5oz or less doesnt seem to load it and get a nice flick.
Worth considering for Rock Marks targetting bigger fish if you've not got the money for a highlander or similar top of the range rod. Also less painful if you drop it on the rocks
