Dulas Bay

Started a new drop last week (need a 4x4 to get to it ) it`s down the western side of DULAS BAY which i did`nt even knew existed Looks very picturesque if nothing else....has anyone fished it There`s some nice looking gullies near the mouth and could be a handy "blow off" venue

Were plenty of nets there a couple of years ago when I was kayaking. Spoke to a couple of lads a year or so ago who fished it relatively regularly and had good things to say about it on big night tides - no direct experience though. All in the warmer months.

I always fancied fly fishing there for the mullet or the bass during summer but never got round to it - i remember it being fairly muddy but then i'm sure we went for a look while it was wazzing it down

I meant it`s just wide enough for me to get down in my van i`ll ask the local farmers about access...oh and there`s loads of pheasants down there ....sunday lunch

Rather than parking here I think you can park here. Doesn't look like there's much room though.

The channel looks promising and isn't too snaggy by the look of it. It's rather muddy in the bay near where you parked but changes into course sand closer to the shore. The channel can be crossed at LW too. At the shore there's loads of small boulders and snags.

The bay is covered with tiny blow lug but you'd need a fork if you wanted to dig them. Don't make my mistake of taking a pump.

I pass a dead end road which leads to a church so there may be parking around there....need a closer look at where the church is exactly

Had a natter with the fella i deliver to and now have access sorted plus some golden info...he likes his bass fishing too...lets just say i can`t wait for spring
