South Shore unsure
I fancy a crack at South Shore (Nr Lytham) but can't work out where exactly it is, parking etc
. The Fylde coast info page is great but not sure where South Shore is in relation to the named marks? Grateful for any advice.

Re: South Shore unsure
South Shore is in Blackpool, not really near Lytham.
I will give you information from South Shore to Lytham though.
South Pier -- South Shore
You can fish the beach at South Pier over low water.
You can walk it back in -- with waders and calm conditions, you can wade a good distance over sandbanks and gulleys, you will have to give in when the sea is about halfway along South Pier and retreat to the wall to fish high water.
You can fish from back of Sandcastle over high.
Parking at this time of the year is problematic, there are car parks for the day and street parking during darkness -- always check the boards as you can get parking fines at night , weekends and bank holidays here.
Harrowside -- South Shore
By the biggest mirror ball in the world, just south of Pleasure Beach Blackpool.
Fish over low from the beach, watch out for gulleys behind you take care. Fish near the sewer pipe over low.
Fish high from the slipway by the mirror ball.
Parking on meter on Promenade or free on side roads -- you will get ticketed if you don't check parking restrictions.
South Shore to St Annes
From Mirror Ball to St Annes Pier, you are really looking at low water fishing, access points at the back of the new Tram Sheds or by the Nursing Home in the sand hills.
Fairhaven Lake
High water mark, just North of Lytham, park up the side of the Lake ( Pay and Display ), wait for tide to come within casting distance, fish until you can't hit the water any more.
Lytham
Park in Fairlawn Road, fish low water or high water -- if fishing low, try to find a safe path out to the river, it can be muddy and quick-sandy if you stray from the path.
Fish high from the grass opposite Fairlawn Road or from the wall anywhere northwards up to Grannies Bay -- from which you can see Fairhaven lake on the other side of the 'bay'
