Just thought I would post this as there seems to be more + more cheap hooks on the Internet I myself use sakuma hooks for most of my fishing the reason I use them is they give me A very sharp hook and bait presentation is great hook ups on large worm baits is far superior to other hook patterns I have used I have tried kamasan hooks but always go back to sakumas what is your favorite hooks + why the only problem I have found with sakuma is they are very sharp but can soon get blunt on the points if you catch them on rocks but this happens with most hooks

i hate snapkuma's lost some good fish because of them ,mustad vikings or kamasan short shanks for me.

Varivas big mouth bass.Used them for years.Never had one snap on me.

I have to admit i use cheap hooks on all my scratching rigs when just general fishing and have had no problems with them. but fishing for cod or bass i use kamasan. and only ever use them for one session then bin them and replace the snoods for the next session.

Were you using the Manta or Manta Extra?

had both go but extras over 4/0 seem okay

I'll go along with Steve Duffy in the larger sizes, and Varvivas Champions in the smaller sizes.
