The Fishermans Net

With nothing planned for the Day, I decided to spend it chasing perch on small jigs and drop shot. Like most fishing sessions, they never go quite to plan. upon arriving at the Canal the weed was almost up to the surface I could make out quite a few dark shadows chasing roach on the surface. Not one to pass up an opportunity. I made the change to fishing a popper having attached a wire trace and Strom chug pug. I quietly made my way to the bank. to avoid spooking any pike in the gin clear water.



it took a few cast, to get the fish chasing the popper. But eventually they start to hit the lure with a vengeance.



I opened the account with a small jack



and then another jack



the final fish was also the largest of all the jacks
