The Fishermans Net

Need to get some worm in the freezer so with a big low at 8.20pm,i`ll be parking up F.O.C ha at @6.45pm....Lifeboat rd....see you all there It`s highly likely i`ll be doing the silly o`clock tide at Rossall ...fishing midnight Sat til 4am Sunday....good onshore winds should get Mr Cod feeding.just hope they`re not toooo strong.

Still pumping but the forecast for Sunday is not looking too clever

Sometimes you`ve just got to accept that you`re having a bad day....made my way out towards the wreck and on crossing the last big gulley i noticed my feet were getting wet both thigh waders had split at the back just above the welly bit no matter i don`t mind wet feet as long as i get some worm,then after pumping a couple my pump decided to take the knock,leaving it with no suction at all had a nice walk back,singing all the way Half a dozen other lads were further over to my right.....that`s me fishless this weekend

Gutting that Kev, was trying to get out myself, wont be happening though, where there many casts at the wreck laaa.?

What was the mist / fog like Kev?
I went to Ainsdale to give it a go but couldn’t see the gas rig lights or any others like Southport pier or dock crane lights. This made me have an attack of common sense or the jitters! Decided against walking out for miles on a deserted foggy beach!
I did have my compass and a whistle with me but just didn’t feel safe to me!
Might be a weekend of DIY or frozen baits being used !

Don`t know Ste...i pumped a couple at the far side of the last gulley when the pump went so i did`nt look any further

It was a bit misty but i kept looking back to the hills on my way out to check my bearings for most of the way....i got a shock on the way back,as i was crossing the big gulley,obviously pitch black,misty and silent when there was a big splash by my left foot i can only think i startled a good flounder but it made me jump

Did you poo your waders

Kev are your waders the rubber type? if so you can permanently repair the splits with stormsure glue, fixed my last pair of waders, only I had to replace them eventually as I lost them

Yeah i got some of that for the hole in the foot of my chesties but the thigh waders have split in the seam at the back which is a very awkward place to fix.
