Fishing a match at five bar gate on Sunday , any up to date info or tips ?

loads small codling at the moment with odd one in size theres a good gully with plenty stones mixed ground that runs pretty much from the venue to behind the school its about 130 yds from the bottom of shingle , theres usually a good size hole at the end on the right side of each groyne too. whiting seemed to have thinned out a lot going off my last 2 sessions up there . i would aim for the gully with worm ungutted yellowtails from bispham or hookers or pumped yourself did well for me . crab if you can get it could see a flounder too.

It's hard going at the moment. As 'daley12' said, there's small Codling about but their feeding patterns seem to be all over the place. Lately the ebb seems to be producing some fish. Good luck for the match.

fished it again today 1 before 3 after 3 whiting 2x31cm,1x26cm and 3x 25cm codling bit slow bait was gutted black and yellowtails .fished just one rod and a single hook .the gully looks a bit closer in now i fished peg 87. windy on sunday.

Weed`s my concern for tonight but as you say i`ve got plenty of razor which worked well after the last blow.

Grim...hardly any wind but the sea was still big after recent days....started with a few codlets but 2 hours before high saw the sea really lift and the weed increased...had to stop fishing for 30 mins until it calmed down,or so i thought,but 45 mins before high i tried again but things were worse so i packed up

I had a nightmare , first blank of the year and hopefully the only one
