19 hopefuls met up near Mersey rd in the pouring rain (would have been 20 but Mearig did`nt want to get wet) thankfully the rain cleared at the start of the match and the sun came out.We were fishing 5 hours in the hope of an early flood cod run,but that never happened,in fact not a lot happened in the first couple of hours.Chris James was first off the mark with a 32cm whiting,followed by Dave Radcliffe with a 31cm whiting...slowly but surely a few more anglers began to find fish,most notably was the 36cm flounder taken by Ste Atkinson and a nice whiting also 36cm by Stan Stevens...finding the second species was gunna be the hard part and only 3 lads managed it,Tom Murphy with a flounder n whiting who was next to Ste Atkinson in the flounder hot spot...Ste got a whiting for his double but it was Dale Edwards who took the best fish of the day in the shape of a 46cm codling,which along with his 31cm whiting was enough for the win.

Well done lads on the doubles Dale,Ste,Thomas some nice whiting about Stan Stevo with a 36 and Dyl with a 34

Well done dale and all winners, at last I’ve beat jimmy redfern

I know Kev hates this venue but we should fish it on a big tide 9.5 easy to fish that’s when big ones are there.
