Round 9 Result..Maddocks Bank Feb` 19th

Another good turn out of 21 anglers lined the low water mark at Maddocks Bank,a venue which was new to us,and will probably never be used again With rays coming out from many marks recently,i started off looking for one but could only find a 27cm whiting first cast,then failed miserably trying to find a flat fish.Meanwhile Dale took a 42cm codling early on and soon added a dab to put himself in pole position...everyone else was really struggling to find anything,with just the odd dab and whiting showing.As the tide ebbed banks started to appear,meaning wading before casting was needed to get in to any proper depth...Rob Turner lost a 2 hook rig to some of the snags along the stretch,but later had a 45cm codling and on the retrieve he brought in his lost rig which also had 2 x 41cm codling attached along with a 29cm dab it was good enough for the win,with Dale in 2nd and Gary Swift who was the only other angler able to find a flat n round,taking 3rd place.

Then had to watch Rob pulling 3 cod in
