Mostyn 11th April

High tide was at 3pm and mid sized so decided to head to Mostyn, target being plaice and perhaps a ray. Went straight to the funship end (later someone told me the Warwick end was rammed with no parking!). Lines in the water just before one, bluey and squid on a pulley pennel on one, two hook bomber with frozen peeler and fresh lug on the other. Weed was horrendous for the first hour but thankfully eased an hour or so before low. Good slack liner on the bluey/squid resulted in a thornie about 3lb (felt massive!), other than that just couple of whiting.
Packed up an hour and a half after high as the weed and pull became unfishable.
Happy to have found one of the target species, need some better crabs for the plaice and the forthcoming hounds!
