Round 4 saw us at Brunswick I arrived to find Rob Turner was already there and found the only gate open was by the yellow submarine so messages sent to inform everyone .
We parked up and I fired up the BBQ and got the kettle on everyone started to arrive and after a bacon roll and a coffee we set off up the prom half went to the left of the gate and the other half went to the right.
We all got set up and all in was called started off quiet the we had photos of dales first fish or so we thought but soon realized it was a wind up then after about 30 minutes I landed the first fish of the day a small ray of 54 cm but then went quiet with nothing coming in so Dave Rad decided to make a move further up the prom followed by Dale 20 mins later this proved to be more productive but things picked up a little with a few more fish coming in .
Dave lunt had a Ray to the far right and after going for a long walk Dave Roberts came back to his rod wound in to find a nice double header of a small ray and a lovly marked Dog Fish then Dyl’s son landed his first fish a nice little Plaice he was happy followed by a Sole as dyl and ava had'nt caught .
Dave Rad and dale had a couple of rays then Dyl had a nice Ray of 67cm followed soon after by Ava with a nice plaice of 36cm and Dave Rad and Dale had had a few more fish.
Time went quick today and it was soon 12 o'clock and all in was called so back to the car park for the results .
It was very patchy to say the least most of the fish came from the right with only 7 anglers carding fish.

14 anglers fished and 1 junior

1st was Dale Edwards with 3 rays and a doggie for 201 cm £35
2nd was Dave Radcliff with 2 rays for 133cm £20
3rd was Dave Roberts with a ray and a doggie for 82cm £15
4th was Dylan Kensall with a ray for 67cm
5th was Dave Lunt with a ray for 60cm
6th was Mark Davies with a ray for 54cm
7th was Ava Kensall [jnr] with a plaice for 36cm

Longest fish was shared with Dave Radcliff and Dylan Kensall who both had a Ray of 67cm each receiving £7
The fishing was quite poor on the day but the weather held even though it was a bit windy
See you all at the next match 13th August Talacre

Cheers Mark we enjoyed that one
Shame it wasn’t more consistent all along the prom. The plaice were caught on prawn and the Sole on prawn and lug. I’ll definitely be fishing the venue again.
Think I’ve got a new wingman while the girls go into town.
See you all at Talacre
Are we doing a long or short walk Mark at Talacre?

Great report and pictures Mark.Riverside breakfast much appreciated. Well done to the catchers.
I sat there without a bite from fish or crab the whole match so took most of my bait home but the fresh air was welcome. 8)
Gonna be in France for the next match.
