Re: Vale Park High Monday 14th Aug
Thanks Brian,
I've tied the leader on with a Yucatan knot, it seems secure enough, but suppose will only find out when casting. I've put another leader on my other reel with mono mainline so can use that again if I'm still having trouble.
I've heard from a few people that the Mersey is very quiet at the moment, the guy at Boss Rigs and Bait in Neston reckons the Smoothounds have eaten all the fish. But the only way to find out when it turns is to carry on fishing it
.
I'll prob have one rod with a 3/0 pully rig with Squid or Mackerel or both on, and another rod with a 2 hook flapper scratching rig with black lug on.
