Round 5 results and report

Well round 5 saw 26 of us at the town hall steps but unfortunately there was another match on the same stretch so we changed our boundaries from where the other match ended up to the waterfall the other side of guinea gap. Once we we're all booked on we made our way to the prom and spread out as everyone was ready to go we started the match 15 minutes early.

The fishing was very slow with only the odd dab being caught in the first hour or so but we battled on hopefully things would pick up towards high water but unfortunately this didn't happen it was still mainly dabs being caught with the town hall end fishing better the tide was pulling quite hard throughout the match but luckily the recent deluge of sewage and weed didn't appear on the ebb maybe that's what made the fishing poor. Soon enough it was the end of the match and back to the car's for the results with the format of biggest 2 flat and 2 biggest round fish combined it was down to who could find rounds to go with the flats as the whiting just didn't show up with only the odd one here and there. 1st on the day went to Dave Radcliffe who managed to find 2 dabs and a whiting for 71 cm.

2nd was Jeff White who found the same for 69cm .

3rd was shared between Will Mclintock and Yuri who were the only others to get 3 fish on their cards for 64cm

5th Mike Parker 53cm

6th John Waugh and Dave Roberts with 51cm

8th Dave ostler with 50cm.

9th was shared by Roy Schofield, Ian Williams and Dale Edwards with 48 cm. For the second match in a row the golden peg was Jordan Roberts who didn't manage to win the match so it rolls over to the next one.

The rest of us managed 1 or 2 fish with only 2 anglers not finding anything . So a three week break now until the next match at Seaforth on the 15th of February hopefully see you all there
