Fishing today at Caldy Billy Bass

Hey guys went to Caldy with Sam Williams today.
Enjoyed our brisk fishing visit and pursued a job afterwards.
Back to the fishing the weather was ideal overcast and grey, odd burst of heat from the BBQ or steak Sir sirloin that is and an opening of the sun in the clouds which was good news.
Casted in early, travelled on the mud, wind was heading towards Hoylake, line had to pinned using a spot of sand underfoot away from the stanchions ridden with barnacles.
Sam plopped his in. Both waited early and a bite developed on my Speedmaster. Left It a touch then hopped on the rod and heading towards the water over onto the sand. Struck into a mean weight, thinking this is either the sand patch or the fish on. So I got through the sand patch felt a lift then reeled in sideways a lovely school Bass.
Steak chomped, Bass released, happy days.
Next adventure tomorrow at Hoylake for a night session on the fish.
