Round 3 saw 13 of us fish and 1 junior fishing vale park over low water.
We arrived at 7.30 and the water was just leaving the bottom of the wall but the gully was emptying quickly and we were all booked on and was able to walk out by 8.15 as the gully was almost empty.
We were all set up by 9.oclock even dyl and jona who were late arrivals jona said he couldn't get his dad out of bed.
All in was called and within the first 15 minutes the first fish was on the beach with Dave ostler to the far left landing a hound this was looking promising but at the left hand side of the beach it was not the case with only a couple more fish being landed for the duration of the day.
However the further to the right you went the fishing improved with dabs, flounder, plaice, ray's and hounds making an appearance. The weather was bright and warm with a wind blowing from left to right soon enough it was 1.oclock and All in was called and back to the car's for the results.
The top rod on the day taking the win was
1st Dylan Kensall who found 2 dabs 2 rays 2 hounds and a flounder for 378cm
2nd Brian Roper 186cm
3rd Jordan Roberts 111cm
4th Robert Turner 109cm
5th John Waugh 106cm
6th Richie Fisher 101cm
7th Dave ostler 83 cm
8th Dale Edwards 73cm
9th Dave Roberts 67cm
Biggest fish was Dylan Kendal with a nice hound of 95cm
Smallest fish was Brian roper with a little gurnard of 19cm
The bonus fish pool (bass) none caught
The golden peg was number 9 was Brian but again finished 2nd so it will roll over to the next match.
All in all it was a pleasant day and some nice fish caught. So hopefully see you all at the next match.
