Eggy Ferry Groyne (Dab Hotspot) 24/01/2006

Just got back from fishing the rock groyne,very slippy underfoot not advisable in the dark without a good headlight.. 
Anyways thought we'd try and fish the flood as it was a small tide today.The charter boats..Ocean Star and Warrior had the same Idea as they were on anchor about 200yards past the Egg Bouy.
Very few bites on the incoming and fishin looked slow on the boats also., but Gaz did manage this one around the 2lb mark.. i did notice his gill plate was deformed...(the codlings that is...not Gaz's)..
, He went straight back..
Darkness fell and the tide turned, Warrior and Ocean Star decided to try another mark up river towards Woodside.., think they went to fish the ebb up at Dukes Bouy.
No sooner had they gone bites picked up and I got the classic "nod" then slack liner,
This one was around the 3lb mark.
As i was unhooking my fish, Gaz was into this one..
All in all a good session for such a small tide , loadsa missed bites and we had a few smaller codlets.. but not worth the clamber over weedy rocks to take photo's of really
