River Alt 9/4/2006

Millsy got to mine for 7.15am,then we met up with Lee before heading to the Alt....arriving before 8am to meet Steve Duffy at the boatyard gate 
We made our way to the old sewer outlet and got set up 
As it was his first time at the venue,we put Lee on the hot spot
It was a fairly small tide today,but we thought there`d still be a few bin lids knocking about
Sure enough,Lee did`nt take long to find a nice flounder
He started getting cocky,bringing them in 2 at a time
Steve Duffy had a beachcaster out and a feeder rod....it was his light gear that worked
Lee was getting on our nevers now...........
The Radcliffe kid was also seeing some action
As usual,Sven turned up 90 mins later
Nice fish around the 1.5lb mark certainly put a good bend in Steves light rod
I`d been fishing on the right of Lee and had`nt had a sniff,so i moved to his left
Sven jumped in my spot and had these on his second chuck 
I was doing a very good impression of Keith N,but it all went wrong with 5 mins to go,when this lid took my lug n mack bait to save the day
Think we had 17 flounder between us,which was`nt bad given the conditions.We`ll be back when the weather`s a lot warmer,and those flats have fattened up
