`Twas a glorious afternoon when myself and Sven arrived at Vale Park 
We were a bit early,so we had a coffee while we waited for the bank to show.....one intrepid angler could`nt wait
Sometimes patience is a virtue
There`s 50 yds of rocky ground to cover before you can get on to the bank...
Eventually,our friend made it
Not worth taking the risk if you ask me....crossing the gulley tooooo early can put you in trouble,especially if you get some wash from a passing ship
Once out there,i planned on using a 2 hook flapper at medium range
And a pennel at ultra extreme XXX factor range
The fish were biting from the off with whiting and baby codling jumping on the hooks
Iain brought the mince pies.....thanks Jayne,i thought i`d escaped them for the holiday
Sven was happy trying out his new Mag
And he was finding small codling too
A better one for me,but we were after biggies
It`s a doddle catching small codling
Dave W and Gaz joined us a bit later on
Sven gets a better codling
Most of the in size fish were whiting n dabs
Even the local loon was baggin up
A good session was had by all...just a pity the codling are`nt getting any bigger from this mark....maybe Jan will prove to be better
