29th Gimlet Rock / 30th Pwllheli Marina entrance

Fishing Gimlet rock from 6pm till 11pm weather was fresh but still. offshore wind to begin with but died down by 7.30pm. fished one rod using whole squid on a cliped down pennel and the other on a two hook Flapper. Baitted with a mixture of squid and sandeels. One big clatter at about 9pm but didn't develop into anything. crazy 20 mins just before high tide with bites all over the place ended up with two doggies(Had to be didn't it) one or two others fishing as well pretty much the same result for them.
Fished the marina entrance from low tide approx 16.30 until just passed 11.30 pm similar set up to the night before. This time disappointly nothing nadda not even a tremor and the crabs seemed to strip the hooks as soon as they hit the water. As for the weather it certainly was Character building with a constant downpour and a fairly strong wind hence the reason for my other post about wet weather gear.
still really enjoyed it as it was my first good session for ages. back there in a month or so. hopefully things will have improved
