picked sven up at 8pm friday and headed off the wales we had to stop at chris p's to pick up an engine which bren was fitting to a boat on saturday got to chris's about 10pm then got slaughtered on stella thanks to chris for sorting us out
saturday came and off to parsal camp to sort out the motor which turned into a nightmare finished at 4pm and i did'nt think we were going to get out on the boat then sven said ''come ed laaaaaa'' let's get some fishing done
so off we went on the boat to catch some mackie for bait.caught some nice size ones just right for the tope
at the tope mark i started on shrimp hokkias for more mackie sven set up a tope rod and chucked in then started on baited hokkias for the bream. first chuck bream city we caught about 30+ bream between us.then the tope rod kicked into life sven struck into somthing then passed the rod to me i could'nt feel anything so thinking it had got off gave it back to sven who then passed it back (to you,to me to you,to me) it felt like a dead body i was'nt impressed untill i finally landed this

my first thornie at just over 8lb
back to the beam fishing then the tope rod kicked in again

result a nice 8lb huss now i was enjoying this,first 2 hours and 3 new species for me
then the second tope rod decided to have a go this one felt much better sven said it was a tope straight away just as was getting the hang of it the line went slack big style tope off passed the rod back to sven then the chuckle brothers started again the tope had swam towards us resulting in the slack line tope still on

starting to feel the strain i had to sit down

then i saw it
sven got it in the boat for me then the fun started


the scales give in at 30lb
overall this will be a day i wont forget big thanks to sven top day m8 and yes i will be back

well i lee, i bet bren got as much enjoyment watching you as if he had caught the fish himself....well in bren

nice 1 lads it was a top day,the best 4 hours fishing ive had
ray the bream were small only about 6-9 inches but great sport as they were comming in 2/3 at a time on baited hokias there must have been some bigger ones about but the tope rod's were too busy. it would be nice to just target them as they are cracking fighters especially on braid but the chance to catch another tope, maybe bigger dont compeate m8 ive only ever once seen line get stripped off a reel that quick and that was in jaws
