The Fishermans Net

nipped down to left of double slip to have a bash at those mackerel last night, was a seven pm high water. Started to catch after high water up to about eight. Had two rods set up, one with tinsel feather things, the other had hokai's. Very supprised that the hokai's well outfished the tinsel ones. Maybe just a pure coincidence that the fish were about when that rod in water. Who knows. Had nine in end, not too big but will do for the winter.

there were not that many having a go for mackies , but from the first steps down to beach before double slip heading towards perch rock everyone seemed to catch some. could be better tonight with high being closer to dusk. good luck

well in tony at least that beats blanking out on the bank nice one!

if i had been bothered neil, i would have give you a shout earlier today. just got back from there, and blankety blank. how did you do?

got no mackrel ,only saw 1 caught ,but i got my first gurnard off the shore took half a sandeel and a bit of crab off the double slip way ,it only must of weighed 8-10 oz but still nice to catch a new species loads fishing so if the macky show i'd get down there early to get a space, might get down again tommorow see if there are any showing
