The Fishermans Net

A last minute decision to fish chapel point in lincs late on fri night into sat morn saw me and sean making our way over the bridge again and into linconshire again last night
we set up camp at 11pm on fri night and settled in for the night of hound action.

we waited.....
we waited.........
and we waited...............

nothing.

then at about 2am i had a bite that ripped the rod from the rest, i lifted into it and could feel a hefty weight on the end, the weight started to move off out to sea, i just couldnt stop it...
it dicided to go screaming off down tide with me running behind it and BANG! it smashed me up. ???
big hound,tope,big thornback,stingray who knows?

a few more quiet hours went passed then at 1st light things started to happen
i was 1st into a smoothy with a fish around 6.5lb


then a couple more smaller hounds folowed to about 5lb



then at 6am the fishing just exploded, with a bite almost every chuck out which resulted in us beach more hard fighting hounds
sean had 3 out to about 7lb, i had had 8 my biggest been 8lb 4oz
and big paul from WSF had 1 about 6lb 2oz
his mate woody was to be very unlucky in loosing his 2 hooked hounds :'(

but my money is on a stinger,wasnt moving quick enough ther was one caught the day before

You could be right...................They are suckers for Crab.
Big buggers an-all..............near 40lbs have come out off the beach at Cleveleys in the past.

they have had them to 54lb of the lincs coast
