The Fishermans Net

After weeks of calm dry weather, Paul came up from Malvern and brought some wetter, windier weather with him. Our planned trip to Rhoscolyn was off, it wouldn't have been safe. We decided to to Llanbadrig where at least we should be out of the wind. As it was a new venue we had a scout about first. It looked a bit steep to the east


to the south is a bay which looked weedy



West looks rocky, but the access is quite easy

We settled on a ledge a few hundred yards to the west with a View of Wylfa


We had plenty of wrassessss


Some smallish pollock


Smallest fish of the day was this blenny ?

We'd gone before you arrived, the lads in the last photo must have arrived after us, I took that photo as we left.

Thanks for the great day out Iain. Even though the weather wasn't great, the fishing was enjoyable.

Yes it would....for some reason few,myself included,have`nt been weighing our wrasse

Didn't get weight as neither of us had scales with us.

I had scales, but don't have a mesh bag to weigh things in. I don't like weighing wrasse in the gillplate. What with them being so slow growing and all I like to get them back in as quickly as possible.
