1st Double of 2007 ( just )

Fished the drains again this morning from 06.30 hrs to 15.00 hrs after Pike again before the close season comes into force :roll: :roll: this time armed with deadbaits, but i could not manage to snare one :? :? by 11.00hrs i had a rethink of tactics :idea: :idea: whilst making a cuppa ;) i decieded to re visit a swim i fished at the start of the session and cut 5 deadbaits into tiny pieces and placed them in the swim which had a depth of 3ft then left them and carried on fishing various swims with no luck :( :( :( after dinner ( 13.00hrs ) and armed with a fresh deadbait i revisted the swim again and placed my bait within the target area ;) ;) and waited till 14.00hrs when at last my float slipped away and it was game on, 5mins later a cracking 10lb 1oz pike was laid within my net 8) 8) 8) No blank going home happy but had to work for this fish which gave satisfaction in my tactics working :D :D :D :D

nice pike! 8) I lured at leeds liverpool canal, just caught a few jack pike.

After checking my records i can confirm that this pike was caught by myself ( from the same swim ) way back in November 2006 weighing 10lb ;) :)

Normally when people fish illegally during the closed season (March 15th to June 15th INCLUSIVE) they don't brag about it on a public forum :roll:
