WSF Winter League 2015 Round 1

This years WSF/BLAS Winter League got underway at Perch Rock with 15 anglers turning out to get their campaigns underway. There were plenty of fish from the off with dogfish and whiting dominating the catches. As the match progressed it looked as though it would be the dabs that would prove to be the deciding factor. But who would register both a round and a flat fish. Find out here

Perch Rock

Chillivokda couldn’t think of a better way to start a week off work than to throw a few lines out and chill out with a bit of fishing. So he headed down to Perch Rock for the late afternoon low tides on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was frantic with plenty of dabs and whiting showing, but on Sunday it was a case of quality over quantity. Read the full report here

Normally this would be one of the last places BigKev would fish,but a very early session at peak feeding time for the rays seemed like a good idea,as the tide was right and it should be quiet down there. 3 lads were fishing the bullnose on arrival,and 3 Chinese lads fished 40yds to the right but nothing much was coming out….i had my crab n squid wrap in the water by 6.25am and took rays on my first 3 casts…full story HERE

Rushy ‘d booked onto a Mersey charter trip aboard the ‘Brigand’ with Althebass, Brian & Frank, it was a 6am lock out which meant a 4am alarm call :bored: and despite getting everything ready the night before, in his sleep deprived befuddled state, somehow managed to run late and didn’t set off till 5am….see the full report HERE
