advice needed

Hi all.
quite new to this shore fishing thing and this site, mainly course fisherman but the bugs got me and the call of the sea. Fished the mersey few times on both sides poor only one tiny coddling and one mother ugly rockling. Anyway thinking of fishing wales and would like the advice of the wise ones mainly llandudno area, so any pointers would be great.Cheers guys and tight lines
PS a sure fire venue would be great

Welcome to the site

This time of year is poor on the sea fishing front with the winter species moving off and the summer species not quite here

The only species to target really now is dabs, rockling, flounder and a few last whiting and codling

Try perch rock on the mersey or try talacre, that had a fair result the other day with the dabs

Use small hooks; size 2's baited with lug then whipped tightly to the shank should do the trick

Did the winter species ever move in to move off again ?

I must have missed them.

I start fishing for them mid-late march so i hope there coming in early to make up for the poor winter

If you want to try wales, I think a venue on the south west side of Anglesey is the place to target rays.
