Thanks for the follow ups a meet up will be great

The last on my list recommended was the Daiwa Supercast Sts 13pm Beach Caster.
Reading around has a slightly softer tip than an sk4
but is more responsive to bites

Better bite recognition suits clean into rough considering most of my fishing will be Mersey/ formby/ Anglesy

put an add on one of the other forums and was bombarded with quite a few rods.
a 13 foot zziplex zero plus
a pair of 13 ffoot mti zero 300s
Coniflex Anubis custom
a few sk4s were offered but they didn't want to post to far away to pick up.
the mti's look a good buy as they have hardly been used.
I think a meet up may be the best think as researching is one thing using is another.................
my heads banging thinking about all these rods

I did like the diawa sts13mp got my hand on one. felt about right.
slightly softer tip than the sonik sk4
should be out fishing

was going to go to new Brighton today for the high but this heavy rains put put me off going with my 6 year old today

Why not, if you are buying 2nd hand, just get whichever rod you fancy. If you don't like it just sell it on. Possibly at a profit but I'd expect at no great loss.

thanks all for your input managed to get an mti zero 250 for ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£139 got a grip lok to go with it.
should hold enough weight for the Mersey in a high tide and also give sensable bit detection.
would have liked a second hand zippy but I am happy to start with this rod.
looking forward to giving it an outing.

Will look into it depends on the time of matches as tied to a lot of 12 hour shifts at the moment.
What time of day are the matches fished at and how often?

Wow what a difference a quality rod has made to my casting but its soon shows up the weakness in last year 20lbs mono!!!!
