whilst i was out on the boat on saturday i noticed that there was a lot of people fishing the mariners, all it is i was thinkin of heading down there on friday night for a few hours, is it worth a bash, also do you get many scally's there cos i may be going on my own. What would i be looking at catching, what bait is best, whens the best time to fish and also any snags to be wary off and how far do i need to be casting. Sorry for the hundreds of questions but i like to be prepared. Thank you for all your patience with me.

marriners is ok nice easy fishing close to the car..But the tides will be to big friday to fish there..

and remember that you HAVE to bring your rod in when a boat is approaching otherwise you stand a chance of watching it go over the wall.

Well just got back from mariners about a hour ago, it was really peaceful there, thouroughly enjoyed it, the current was really strong but i managed to fish it ok, come away with one small whiting on a peeer crab i had left in the freezer from last time i was out. Am really getting into this now, i may even be going out with shaun on a fishing trip soon when he comes home but not a 100% sure yet,
My mate is actually getting better at his casting too.
Well am off to bed now, depend on what the wife has me doing tommorow im going to try and fish hall road.
But ill let you lot know.
BTW the league thats on sunday were is it cos i may try and get down if i can..
