Sorry guys, I won't be joining the Prawn on Sunday as got a girls weekend planned. Mind you, I might drag her along on Sunday..............you never know she might quite like fishing (not!). Hope you all have better luck than me and Prawn had when we fished it two weeks ago. Tight lines. ;)

The easiest - although not necessarily the most direct route from where you are Rod ;) is to get yourself onto the M56, take the junction AFTER the M53/Cheshire Oaks, which is signposted for Chester and the A540.

At the traffic lights turn right onto the A540 - follow signs for Heswall, Hoylake, or Neston (they're all along the same road), stay on the A540 all the way to Caldy, go through Heswall, past some roadworks by the Cottage Loaf pub, down the hill, you'll see Caldy Rugby Club on your right.

At the next roundabout turn left, when you reach Caldy village (bendy road and sandstone church on the right), take a left into Croft Drive and then first right - still Croft Drive... follow the road to the bottom of the hill, through the narrowing (probably packed with cars) and voila, you have arrived 8)

If you type "Caldy Railway Station" (which doesn't exist any longer  ) into Google and click on "Maps" at the top, that's the place ;)

Tide is out, Tide is in, bites, erm, no, none for me but I saw some flatties come out.

Nice and warm though, nice place as well, I'll take the kids back at some point to have a go. :)

Nice to meet some new people and put some names to faces.
